Identity

Our property is tied to the history of Paris, we respect it and are bringing it into the modern world.

We, Gecina, an integrated real estate company

A specialist in centrality and uses, we operate innovative and sustainable living spaces. We own, manage and develop a unique portfolio in the heart of central areas of the Paris Region, covering more than 1.2 million sq.m of offices and more than 9,000 housing units, almost three-quarters of which are located in Paris City or in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

For our 100,000 customers and users, we are committed to the entire value chain for the long term. We design, build and manage buildings that rely as much on their intrinsic qualities as on the services they provide. This conviction gives us the energy to unify those who, like us, want to commit and innovate for an energy efficient, fluid and inclusive city.

We have created our relational brand, YouFirst, to offer our customers, first and foremost, a human relationship, high quality services and assistance for their needs.

This commitment is also reflected in our corporate Foundation dedicated to protecting the environment and supporting all forms of disability.

Gecina is a French real estate investment trust (SIIC) listed on Euronext Paris, and is part of the SBF 120, CAC Next 20, CAC Large 60 and CAC 40 ESG. Gecina is also recognized as one of the top-performing companies in its industry by leading sustainability benchmarks and rankings (GRESB, Sustainalytics, MSCI, ISS ESG and CDP).

Our history

We have built ourselves on a dual filiation, which corresponds to different approaches to urbanism.

There was a strong ambition in the Haussmann era to make Paris, the city of lights, shine internationally. Our properties include some of the most iconic buildings of the era, especially on the boulevard Haussmann, in the 8th and 9th boroughs of Paris.

The period of post-war reconstruction, in the 1950s and 1960s, saw the explosion of real estate investment companies. Urban planning is then seen as a growth engine to put Paris back on the global economic map and a way to accommodate the middle classes. It is in this dynamic that an organization with the name Groupement pour le Financement de la Construction was founded in January 1959. We then channeled the funds of some sixty insurance companies to this group and we have grown by integrating 80% of real estate investment companies.

On December 18, 1998, our Group's name was changed to its current name, Gecina.

By acquiring Eurosic in 2017, we have become the fourth largest real estate company in Europe. Our portfolio has been enriched by a cluster of buildings, mostly Parisian, located in the West of the capital and in La Défense.

In March 2020, we launch the subsidiarization of our residential portfolio to develop a residential rental offering in the most central areas of major cities.
