Policy and performance

Faced with the necessary transformation of its products, services, practices and governance framework, required by multiple societal issues, Gecina wanted to deliver a proactive and committed response through its CSR policy, with:

A CONCRETE RANGE OF SUSTAINABLE AND RESPONSIBLE BUILDINGS AND REAL ESTATE SERVICES FOR ITS CUSTOMERS,

helping drive their growth chains and their own societal responsibility.

AN ENGAGING PROJECT FOR ITS STAKEHOLDERS AND EMPLOYEES,

supporting collective and individual developments throughout its value chain.

To ensure that this policy is effectively followed and put into action, Gecina has incorporated CSR into its management processes, its operational departments' missions and its governance structure.

For each of the key issues identified in the four pillars - Portfolio, Planet, Employees and Society - Gecina has made commitments and set itself objectives since 2008 for 2012 and 2016. Action plans have been mapped out, focusing in priority on 10 issues positioned above the matrix’s materiality thresholds, where their management needs to be further improved. Performance indicators have been defined for each one and the results are regularly monitored and published each year.

MANAGEMENT AND GOVERNANCE

CSR is an integral component within the governance and management of the company's strategy because the policy and results are presented to the Audit, Risks and Sustainable Development Committee and reviewed by the Executive Committee, while the action plans are monitored by the steering organizations within the Real Estate Holdings Division and General Secretary’s Office. The vast majority of projects are overseen directly by Gecina's operational units, with the exception of three cross-business projects led or jointly led by the CSR Department (responsible procurement, stakeholder dialogue and exemplary headquarters).
