Club Mediterranean has started a strategy of upselling and renovating its park, partly financed by asset outsourcing programs.
In 2005, Club Med transferred the ownership of four of its villages to Gecina, who has agreed to finance considerable renovation work.
Gecina pursues policies designed to enhance asset value while providing tenant support: the Club Med/Val d’Isère expansion planned for 2009 involves increasing capacity by 55 rooms for an investment of around €11 million.
